With a variety of classes tailored for all levels, led by passionate instructors in serene settings, yoga on the island provides a holistic approach to relaxation and wellness. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to the practice, Martha’s Vineyard has something for everyone. Here's your guide to the top yoga studios and experiences across the island.

Yoga on the Vine:
Connection and Growth

Yoga on the Vine is more than a yoga studio—it’s a vibrant community where connection, inclusivity, and self-care take center stage. Since opening its doors in 2016, Yoga on the Vine has become a haven for those seeking both physical and spiritual nourishment, regardless of experience or background.

While the studio is known for its invigorating hot vinyasa classes, its offerings extend far beyond the heat. From the restorative practice of yin yoga, to the calming rhythms of slow flow and sound baths, there’s a practice for every body and every need. Non-heated classes provide even more options, while meditation sessions allow participants to cultivate stillness and mindfulness. Each offering is designed to honor the diverse needs of the community, ensuring that everyone can find their place on the mat. Our instructors are all highly trained specialists, and many are Yoga Therapists, having completed a far more extensive and rigorous training program than the standard Yoga Teacher certification. Space is limited in each class to ensure individualized attention and support.

January is an especially meaningful time at Yoga on the Vine, as the studio launches its annual 30-Day Challenge, now in its sixth year. This beloved tradition invites community members to commit to their own well-being through a month of dedicated practice. The challenge is free to join, and encourages participants to step into the new year with intention, cultivating habits of self-care and self-discovery that ripple out into their lives. It’s a transformative reset for participants, grounded in the support and encouragement of the Yoga on the Vine family. Classes at sister studio Aligned Pilates count towards the Challenge as well.

If you're new to Yoga on the Vine, take advantage of the New Student Special, which offers a month of unlimited classes for only $79.

At its core, Yoga on the Vine is about more than yoga—it’s about building community. The studio fosters an environment where all are welcome, creating a space where people can grow, connect, and thrive together. Whether you’re seeking a powerful workout, a peaceful retreat, or simply a sense of belonging, Yoga on the Vine invites you to step through its doors and onto the mat.

This new year, discover what makes Yoga on the Vine a cornerstone of the Martha’s Vineyard wellness community.

The Yoga Barn:
A Tranquil Retreat in West Tisbury

Located in a beautifully restored New England barn, The Yoga Barn is nestled in a serene meadow setting. This light-filled space invites you to deepen your yoga practice while surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Beyond yoga, The Yoga Barn offers bodywork services, including massage therapies, for a comprehensive wellness experience.

The Yoga Barn on Martha’s Vineyard was designed with sustainability and mindfulness at its core. The building, originally a Vermont dairy barn, was salvaged and reconstructed using environmentally conscious materials. The roof features recycled plastic shingles, while sustainably harvested cedar sidewalling and bamboo flooring provide a natural aesthetic. The interior boasts plaster walls painted with low- and no-VOC paints, and a state-of-the-art radiant-heat system operates within an ultra-tight modern building envelope with super-insulation (over R-50 in the roof and R-40 in the walls). Efficient low-e insulated-glass windows maximize heat absorption in winter and deflection in summer, and the southeast-facing porch is enclosed in winter to harness passive solar gain.

The Yoga Barn prioritizes eco-friendly practices, using environmentally safe cleaning products and low-impact, phosphorus-free detergents for all organic cotton hand towels and sheets to protect the groundwater table. Solar panels on the roof of an adjacent property provide supplemental electricity, ensuring an energy-efficient operation. This is comes together to align with the mission and vision of what the Yoga Barn offers.
